Ülker announced its balance sheet for nine months

Ülker, Türkiye's leading food company, continued to grow in the nine months of 2022 with its operations in Türkiye as well as exports and international operations. The company's turnover reached 19 billion TL.

Ülker Bisküvi announced in a statement to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that its turnover in the nine-month period of 2022 is 19 billion TL.

Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan stated that the company continues to work on sustainability, digitalization, R&D and innovation and said, “our nine-month turnover has reached 19 billion TL. The share of our Türkiye operation in the turnover was 62 percent, and the share of our exports & international operations in the turnover was  realised as 38 percent. We continue to deliver with astrong, agile and proactive risk structure, a workforce spread over wide geographies, our effective strategies and successful management.”

Buyurgan also stated that the Aliağa Biscuit Wheat project, which they started in 2007 to develop a type of wheat suitable for sustainable raw material supply and biscuit flour production have now been used for some of our  Ülker products, and said that the products were now available on the shelves.

Emphasizing that Ülker continues to make an impact on national and international platforms with its sustainability efforts, Buyurgan conveyed the following information: "We were deemed worthy of an award in the Sustainable Business Awards 2022 in the category of "Collaboration and NGO" with the project "More Than Cocoa- Beyond Cocoa". With our project that we started two years ago, we carefully follow every step of the journey from farm to fork in order to ensure the sustainability of the cocoa supply chain. We aim to support social development and environmental improvement in the long term through collaborations that cover activities such as field inspections, information gathering, and supplier negotiations.”

Stating that the market leadership in biscuits and chocolate in Türkiye continues strongly, Buyurgan said, “When we look at the region; our market leadership continues in the biscuit category in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. We are in the third place in the chocolate category in Kazakhstan. We continue on our way as a strong leader in the total snack category in Türkiye.”
