In a statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company reported that its turnover reached 58 billion TL during this period, with Turkiye’s operations accounting for 71% of total turnover, while exports and international operations made up 29 of the turnover.
Ulker's CEO Mete Buyurgan commented on the successfull performance of the nine-month period:
"Since our Foundation, we have worked with an approach that focuses on providing added value to our country and strengthening together with all our stakeholders. Our ability to monitor developments, trends, and risks, learn from them, and quickly turn our learnings into action is a significant competency that sets us apart. Our strong operational performance in the categories we operate in and our new launches positively impact our company's performance. We closely listen to our consumers; for this purpose, we conduct nearly 1,000 consumer research studies each year. We keep our finger on the pulse of the consumer, tracking needs and trends. Our recently launched Ülker Chocolate Dubai Flavor is a successful example of this. We produced millions of units of this product, launched it at an accessible price, and it was met with great interest from our consumers.
We are the leader in our sector in Turkiye and maintain our regional strength. We continue to lead the biscuit market in Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Our strong growth trend also continues in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries. With exports to over 100 countries, we now reach millions of consumers worldwide. We export products that we develop and produce in our country to all corners of the globe. We have published our Sustainability 2023 report**, outlining the steps we are taking on our journey toward becoming a net-zero company by 2050. At Ülker, we work with a culture of no waste. We are aware of the impacts of the climate crisis, and we aim to contribute to the creation of a resilient food system with our sustainability activities, which we have been continuing without slowing down in line with long-term goals since 2014. For sustainable agriculture, we are developing our projects specific to wheat, hazelnut and cocoa."
