Our beautiful country - Türkiye - is home to all of the natural resources we need to sustain our day-to-day lives. It is our responsability to protect those resources now, if we want our grandchildren and great grandchildren to inherit them in the future.

What we do today shapes tomorrow.

Through Ülker’s  Nature is in our Hands series, you will get a chance to see firsthand our great nation’s natural resources. In the process, you will also learn about what small changes all of us can make in our Daily lives to conserve those resources and thus leave behind a better tomorrow.

ÜLKER MY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY FOREST

Protecting nature and contributing to a breathable, fresh air future by bringing our lands together with saplings are one of the issues that we care about.

We planted trees in various cities of Türkiye by the name "Ülker My Beautiful Country Forest."
For the first time in 2011, We started planting trees in the region where our factory is located in Ankara, with the support of our employees. The trees we planted in Ankara, Karaman, Kocaeli-Gebze, where our factories are located, continue to grow.

We have been supporting the “A Breath for the Future” campaign of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry since 2019, when it first began.

Together with the support of our employees in 2020, we planted 31.000 trees in total, including 11.000 in Ankara, Karaman, and Hatay damaged by forest fires, as well as 20.000 more in Elâzığ and Eskişehir.

We also planted 20.000 in Elâzığ and Eskişehir with the TEMA Foundation [the Turkish Foundation for Combating Erosion, Reforestation, and the Protection of Natural Habitats] thanks to our healthcare professionals - our heroes during this period of the pandemic.

We have been supporting the “A Breath for the Future” campaign of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry since 2019, when it first began.

In 2021, to celebrate the April 23th National Sovereignty and Children's Day, We promised to turn into reality the 10,000 saplings planted virtually on social media between 14-28 April with an augmented reality filter.  In addition, between May 18 and 21, We planted 10.000 samplings in honor of May 19th Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, and of those who tagged their friends under the post on Ülker's Instagram account. In the coming period, We plan to plant 20.000 more saplings in Karaman as well.  In total, We will have planted 79.500 trees since the launch of our project.

Recently, We've also taken quick action to regenerate the forests lost in fires that deeply put us all in great grief in August 2021.  Furthermore, We, again, in partnership with TEMA - vow to plant 50.000 more trees in appropriate areas (New total: 129,500 saplings).

We will continue to work hard to protect our nation's trees - Türkiye's lungs - and expand our project in sustenance.
