Ülker made three baskets in the Euroleague, and heightened its brand name awareness
This year, Turkey earned the right to send three teams to the Euroleague quarter finals.
This victory was as satisfying to Ülker as it was to the fans and the clubs that the company sponsored, Fenerbahçe Ülker, Galatasaray Café Crown and Beşiktaş Cola Turka. Ülker Corporate Communications General Manager Zuhal Şeker indicated that the 38 million dollars that the company had contributed to Turkish sport had resulted not only in this success, but also in raising the recognizability of the Ülker brand name.
Pointing out the contributions that Ülker had made to this success, she stated, “We see our three great clubs’ advancement to these quarterfinal matches in the European arena as a huge victory.”
“Our sponsorship of the Beko Basketball League has improved the quality of the sport and contributed to increased competition. The better quality and competitiveness has also resulted in more spectators coming to matches and more interest in the games covered by the media. I might say that the support we provide through our sponsorship of the three big teams and Alpella, whose team is composed entirely of young players, has greatly elevated their standing in the league. Interactive activities with the fans have influenced the recycling effectiveness of our sponsorship. Our sponsorship investments have strengthened the perception and recognition of our brand name."
