Ülker Bisküvi increased its sales revenue to 10.1 billion TL in the first quarter of 2023. The share of Turkey operations in the sales revenue was 66, and the share of export and international operations in the sales revenue was 34

According to the statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Ülker Bisküvi increased its sales revenue to 10.1 billion TL in the first quarter of this year. The share of the company's Turkey operations in the sales revenue was 66, the share of the export and international operations in the sales revenue was 34.

Stating that Ülker Bisküvi continues to contribute to Turkey with all its activities, Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan conveyed the following information about the first quarter results: “On February 6, there was a huge earthquake disaster affected 11 provinces and deeply saddened all of us. From the first day of the earthquake, we took action very quickly and sent our products to the region. We sent the Nourishing Biscuit, which we developed in a very short time, to the disaster area and stood by the disaster victims and we continue to do so. On the other hand, we finished the first quarter of 2023, which started quite difficult, with very successful results.”

Stating that they signed important syndicated loan agreements in the first quarter of the year, Buyurgan continued: “In the leadership of Bank of America, Coöperatieve Rabo Bank U.A. and Emirates NBD Bank Capital Limited and with the participation of JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A, Sharjah Islamic Bank PJSC and Gulf Bank, we signed a loan agreement worth $248 million in total. We also signed a loan agreement of EUR 75 million with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). While these agreements are an indicator of the trust of international banks in our company and in our country, they came to the fore as Ülker's first sustainability-related agreements. We continued our sustainability approach, which is at the center of our way of doing business, in the field of finance as well.”
