Ülker Achieved a sales revenue of 8.4 TL in nine months 2021 Ülker announced its nine months 2021 revenue
Türkiye's leading food company Ülker, continued to grow in nine months 2021, both with its Turkish operations, its export and international operations. The company's sales revenue reached 8.4 billion TL with an increase of 20.7 percent.
Ülker Bisküvi increased its nine-month sales revenue in 2021 to 8.4 billion TL. This is an increase of 20.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In the statement sent to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company announced that its Earnings Before Interest,Taxes, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA) reached 1.5 billion TL.
Ülker's CEO Mete Buyurgan stated that the company continues to contribute to the economy and its stakeholders and aims to grow sustainably with its strong and independent financing structure:
“While our nine-month sales revenue reached 8.4 billion TL, the share of our Türkiye operation in the sales revenue was realized as 61.2 percent, and the share of our exports and international operations in the sales revenue was realized 38.8 percent. The operational profitability (EBITDA) achieved especially through international operations reached a significant level and its share in total profitability (EBITDA) reached 43 percent. Despite the global difficulties experienced in the supply of services and commodities, with the loosening of pandemic restrictions, we quickly adapted to the process with our successful strategies and made plans suitable for changing conditions.
On the other hand, Buyurgan reminded that they acquired Önem Gıda, one of the Yıldız Holding companies that have been supplying semi-finished products for many years to Ülker, and emphasized that this way, the entire production process of chocolate and bakery products was cumulated within the company from end to end, and another important step was taken within the scope of sustainable growth strategy.
Buyurgan stated the following information about Ülker's leadership: “Our market leadership in biscuits and chocolate in Türkiye continues strongly. When we look at the region; our market leadership in the biscuit category continues in Egypt. Since Saudi Arabia is the largest market in the Middle East and North Africa region, we maintain our market leadership in the biscuit category in that market as well. We came to the third place in the chocolate category in Kazakhstan. We continue on our way as a strong leader in the snack category in Türkiye.”
Ülker became the most popular snack brand
Buyurgan said that Ülker was selected as the winner in the "Snack" category in the "Türkiye's Lovemarks 2021 Survey". In the research, being carried out for the 14th time this year in cooperation with MediaCat-Ipsos, we were at the top as Türkiye's most popular snack brand. Our goal is to always understand our consumers and lead the trends with the responsibility given by the leadership.”
