Ülker, Türkiye's leading food company, wins gold awards for its exemplary applications in 2 categories at the 'Boc International Brilliance Awards', an international award platform.
Ülker, Türkiye's leading food company, won 2 gold awards from the 4 categories it was nominated for at the 'Boc International Brilliance Awards', an international award platform. The Ülker Human Resources team won in the category of “Excellence in Employee Engagement” thanks to its employee-focused, innovative approach during the pandemic period; and its ONE application, the first digital assistant for all factory employees, won in the category of “Excellence in Use of Technology for Internal Communication".
Ülker’s CEO Mete Buyurgan said he was pleased their HR projects had been awarded at an important platform such as the Boc International Brilliance Awards. "Like every institution, Ülker’s priorities include optimizing its business processes as the times require, in light of the company’s needs and the possibilities of rapidly developing information and communication technologies. Our company shows how it values its employees with its innovative applications that includes them all. With the responsibility of being a leader and the awareness of people needing access to safe food during this difficult period, we focused on our employees in their work environments in all our factories during the pandemic. We won the excellence award for employee engagement for the employee-focused, innovative approach we showed during the pandemic; and won the excellence award for the use of technology for internal communication by integrating the ONE application into the work processes of all our factory employees. The two gold awards from the Boc International Brilliance Awards showed us once again that we are on the right track on our sustainable HR journey."
Ülker's globally - awarded HR practices contain many innovations that are also firsts in the sector. During the pandemic, Ülker expanded the 14 basic Covid-19 measures published by the Ministry of Health and implemented them in all workspaces titled “14 + 14”. After rapidly applying these measures and actions, all Ülker factories earned the "COVID-19 Safe Production Certificate" issued by the Turkish Standards Institution.
Also, the "ONE" application, which collected many processes on a single digital platform, was quickly adopted by production employees thanks to its convenience. A closed-circuit mobile application specific to employees, ONE brings many applications together, meeting all the employees’ needs. Employees can track their processes such as weekly work plans, payroll, and personnel affairs and they can instantly access any document they need. The application also reduced both personal contact and the extra workload during the pandemic.
