Ülker, Türkiye’s “happiness brand,” has recreated its recipe for happiness as it celebrates its seventy-first anniversary. Lending its ear to everyone (especially youth), it has launched a new communication campaign: “Happiness Is Everywhere.”

“Ülker’s point of view is that of its customers”
Lale Saral Develioğlu (Yıldız Holding Türkiye’s Marketing President) recently pointed out that Ülker has always made the effort put a smile on people’s faces since day one. “We want to make people’s day with the tiniest of gestures.

We want everyone to buy our products and share them with others. If we can make even one person’s day, then that ripples outwards.”

She underlined that customer feedback played a huge part in the new campaign: “Research showed us that our customers want their lives to be full of simple pleasures. People treasure tiny-wee – as opposed to big – moments of pleasure because they’re more accessible.”

“Happiness heals and motivates”
Develioğlu pointed out that life is now much more complicated and competitive, adding: “Simple pleasures heal and motivate people, especially during difficult times. Much of the world is going through a very difficult period right now. We want to draw people’s attention to those [happy] moments in life that ‘easy to reach’, ‘easy to reproduce’ and ‘and easy to share’ to make the world a better place to live.

Rare and big moments of happiness don’t sustain people for long; little, simple moments of happiness do. They can have a huge impact on people. We should notice and hold on to small happy moments rather than wait to be happy.”

“In 2016, we’re tell the world that happiness is everywhere.”

Develioğlu said that Ülker will continue to spread the word, “Happiness is Everywhere”. She said that they currently in the midst of planning various events to take place across Türkiye to spread the word far and wide.

She also added that Ülker and its employees [now] celebrate happiness on the third Thursday of every November: “Our philosophy is simple, “Put a smile on people’s faces!” We began celebrating happiness day on Ülker’s seventieth anniversary. This year, we’re rejoicing it with a brand new motto. Better still, we’ve also decided to include our posts and factories abroad – something we did not to last year. Thus, we’ve extended the festivities to all of our companies under Yıldız Holding. From now on, that third Thursday of November means sharing happiness!”
