4320 STUDENTS COMPETE FOR ÜLKER ÇOKONAT AT BIZZ@KAMPÜS

At 'bizz@kampüs', where the innovative marketing ideas developed by the 3rd, 4th year and graduate students of universities for Ülker's most popular brands compete, the "Astronuts" team was awarded the first prize with the project they prepared for the "Ülker Çokonat". This year, 1897 teams and 4320 students from 169 different universities applied to the competition.

The winners of bizz@kampüs, which is organized for the 11th time and where innovative marketing projects related to a different Ülker brand are developed every year, have been announced. This year, 1897 teams and 4320 thousand students from 169 different universities applied to 'bizz@kampüs', where 3rd, 4th year university students and graduate students compete for the "Ülker Çokonat" brand. In the competition, the project of the "Astronuts" team formed by Dokuz Eylül University Business Administration Department students Melike Yavaş and Merve Memiş and Dokuz Eylül University Computer Engineering Department student Ayşe Nur Şahin was selected. While the project of the "Team Gusto" team, founded by Yeditepe University Nutrition and Dietetics Department students Betül Oral and Şamil Aybey Dönmez and Yeditepe University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts student Fevzican Acar, was selected for the second prize; The third prize was awarded to the project of the "Eren" team, founded by Kadir Has University Public Relations and Publicity Department students Oğuzhan Sönmez and Volkan Saygın and Kadir Has University Communication Sciences graduate student Bahadır Öz. In the competition, where long-term internship opportunities were provided to the top 3 winners, a total of 75 thousand TL was awarded, including 30 thousand TL for the first place, 25 thousand TL for the second and 20 thousand TL for the third.

Buyurgan: It is very valuable for us to see our brands through the eyes of young people.

Stating that they have hosted thousands of students at bizz@kampüs to date, Ülker CEO Mete Buyurgan said, “The bizz@kampüs, which our young people show great interest in, has managed to become one of the leading organizations in the area of marketing in our country over the years. It is very valuable for us to see our brands through the eyes of young people in the competition we organized for the 11th time this year. We offer our young people an experience that will benefit them for a lifetime, regardless of whether they are ranked or not. Once again, we would like to thank all our young people who showed interest in bizz@kampüs for their friendship and contribution to us.”          

Buyurgan: It is very important to gain experience in university.

Saying that young people should make the most of their university years, Mete Buyurgan said, “I believe that the time spent at university is perhaps the most important and most valuable experience of their life journey. I think it is also important to gain experience by doing part-time work and internship in a way that will feed the theoretical knowledge gained at the university. For this reason, it is extremely important to be a member of qualified student clubs, to participate in internship and talent programs, and to participate in competitions such as bizz@kampus. Finally, I recommend that you do a job that you love, are interested in and that you believe will be happy in the future, and direct your education accordingly.”  

Project presentations in the competition were evaluated by the jury, which included Ülker Human Resources Vice President Faruk Gözleveli, Ülker Unlu Mamuller and Chocolate Production Vice President Kadir Kamadan, Ülker CMO Mustafa Kabakçı, Ülker Chocolate Marketing Director Nida Erdal, Ülker Corporate Communications Director Mehmet Uçan, Ülker Chocolate R&D Director Müge Corcor, Alametifarika Creative Director Odisseas Sevsevme. In the final stage, trainings that will contribute to the development of young people were organized, and they were prepared for the process with a marketing-oriented webinar. Mentoring and presentation techniques educations were also given to the finalist teams.
